It’s been 14 years since the 9/11 attacks – but sometimes it still feels like yesterday.
I’m sure everyone can pinpoint exactly where they were when they first heard about the news. I was in music class with Mrs. Lemon, and my classmates and I caught a glimpse of live footage on a TV while walking back to our classroom (I honestly had no idea what I was looking at or really even understood what a terrorist attack was).
I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like to be in New York that day. It’s hard to even imagine something like that happening today.
If you’re ever in New York, I highly recommend the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. It’s an experience like no other – somber and, at times, overwhelming. I’m not going to begin describing it because I’m sure everyone has a different experience while they’re there. But it’s something that shouldn’t be missed.
So on this September 11 day…
