Two nights in a row, two advance movie screenings! NYC is really winning lately.
Last night was extra special because Gavin got us tickets (center orchestra, no less!) to the world premiere of Amy Schumer and Judd Apatow’s new movie, Trainwreck!
The snazzy event took place at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall (the same venue where the New York Film Festival occurs) in support of the Film Society of Lincoln Center. The hall was decked out with a red carpet, all the celebrities, and free refreshments and popcorn (score!).
Here’s a bit of what I saw last night (courtesy of my Snapchat Story – follow me! at jennyloe):
I don’t know how he does it, but Gavin continues to outdo himself in the birthday gift-giving department year after year (last year’s gift was tickets to Then She Fell and the year before that was Broadway’s Cinderella with Laura Osnes).
Since this one has already screened for the press, I can absolutely say that Trainwreck is a home-run, LOL-worthy comedy. If you love Amy Schumer, you have to see this movie. (Girl has been absolutely killing it this year!)
Trainwreck is in theaters everywhere this Friday, July 17:
