If you’re in the same boat as me, you’re either finishing up your thesis or battling off a sinus infection. Either way, you probably need some reading material to distract you! And, if you live in NYC, you’ll need something to pass the time as the rain pours down outside.
And so it goes…
Not going to lie, every single one of these pictures just adds another reason to my list of reasons to move away from NYC in the next few years. Though Central Park is only one block away from my apartment, finding personal outdoor space in NYC is a rarity. I really miss waking up in the morning and walking outside barefoot to enjoy my breakfast coffee. *sigh*
Oh my gosh. Not going to lie – anytime this movie gets mentioned anywhere, I get more and more excited. Emma Watson as Belle? Check. Dan Stevens as the Beast/Prince? Check. Emma Thompson, Audra McDonald, Ian McKellen, Kevin Kline, and Ewan McGregor? Check x5. Stanley Tucci in whatever role anyone gives him in any movie ever? Check!!!
March 17, 2017 – I. Seriously. Cannot. Wait!
Have you seen this yet? It’s been all over my Facebook newsfeed! This 102 year-old woman used to be a chorus line dancer back in the 1930s and 40s and had never seen herself perform… until now.
“It’s just fabulous.” – Alice Barker, the dancer herself.
If you’re not yet watching Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, you can finally get in on the action – Season 3 premiered on Tuesday. This episode is one of the most brilliant to date, tackling everything from America’s ass obsession (see above video), employers dictating birth control access, rape culture in football (with a hilarious cameo from Josh Charles and a perfect Friday Night Lights parody), to Hollywood’s problem with aging actresses (featuring Queens Tina Fey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Patricia Arquette on their ‘last f*ckable day’).

I follow Carly’s blog almost religiously, and one of her recent posts really resonated with me. Though I’m technically not a “college senior,” all of her advice still fits as I prepare to finish grad school. I think that soon-to-be graduates are really only focused on finishing up final projects and papers and don’t necessarily think about the little things that they coulda, shoulda, woulda done in those last few days as a student.
One piece of advice I’ll definitely follow? Don’t rush – it will all work out.
