I started this morning off by waking up to a fairly dark apartment. I began heating my water for tea and looked out my window to see heaps of snow piling down on the buildings below me. Yikes! I’m thankful that my internship supervisor told me to stay home for the day, and I’m DOUBLY thankful that NYU cancelled evening classes. This snow day has allowed me to catch up on some freelance work, read, cook, and dream of spring…
A stroll through the park…
I’m super excited to go on many walks through Central Park this spring. I live on the Upper East Side and am only 6 [long] blocks away from the park. I wish I would have taken more advantage of going to the park this summer, but it was so unbearably hot that even the mere thought of trekking there made me sweat. My location on the UES gives me nearby access to the Reservoir and the Great Lawn, perfect areas for relaxation and picture opportunities!
I love these Jonathan Adler accessories. The tote is perfect for more casual, sit-down park visits. Just throw in a small lunch, book, sunglasses, and water bottle – and you’re good to go! The sun hat is absolutely adorable. You can wear it on a breezy, sunny spring day and stay perfectly shaded. And the crossbody dog bag is too cute. If you’re planning on walking through the park, this is the bag with which to do it. And it’s a great conversation starter if you walk by anyone with their own pooch!
A sunny afternoon at the office…
I love spending time at the office during spring. Not only do you get some nice sun coming in through the windows, but everyone’s moods seem to be in higher spirits.
This kate spade tumbler is absolutely perfect for sipping on some water or iced tea while working. Not only is it cute, but it will keep your drink nice and cool throughout the day. These Design Darling pencils are absolute motivators to get you through your work day! I love their funny sayings and power phrases – perfect for any midday slump. And this Design Darling business card case is so adorable and perfect for easily stowing away during meetings.
A day at the Met…
Who doesn’t love the Met? And with some pieces that are centuries old, it’s fun to go during a time when there’s new life in the air. I feel like it’s hard to choose just one collection as a favorite, but I have a weakness for the European Paintings galleries (how original!).
This outfit is so perfect at nailing that spring feeling and an art museum-chic vibe. The pastel Rebecca Taylor jacket and Lilly Pulitzer dress are perfect at toning down and dressing up the outfit, but the purple kate spade beau bag gives you the playful pop you need. And who doesn’t love the gold Coach phone case? You’ll feel like your own work of art!
A night at the Tribeca Film Festival…
I’ve been to a few film festivals, but never to Tribeca’s. This year will not only be a new experience, but I’m excited to see some of the films that the boyfriend is helping promote.
I think that this aqua Lilly Pulitzer top keeps the outfit feminine, but the H&M faux leather jersey leggings give it the edge it needs. And to accessorize, I chose a unique infinity scarf and some suede ankle boots. The Storiarts scarf features ironed-on pages from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, one of my absolute favorite stories. And to finish it off, the H&M suede ankle boots will give you the height you need to stand out at the festival.
An evening walk on the High Line…
One of my absolute favorite places in the city is the High Line. It stretches from the Meatpacking District up to Chelsea, and it has some of the most gorgeous views, plants, and vibes. The old elevated train tracks are so cool to see and even cooler when there are plants growing right next to them!
On a spring night, an amazing look would be pairing this green Planet Gold maxi dress with the Zara faux leather jacket. And to finish off the outfit, throw on some hemp TOMS and pair it with the affogato kate spade cobble hill clarke crossbody. Now you’re good to go for a night on – actually on top of – the town.

Though the air is cold and the ground is slushly, I still dream of spring. And no matter where you are, I hope you, too, can dream of a spring-ier day!
Which spring dream must-have is your favorite? Do you have any recommendations for me? I’d love to know! And if you’re dreaming of any springtime activities, leave me a comment – I’m always on the lookout for new things to do and places to see!
